We have a deep appreciation for coffee and wanted to create a website for coffee drinkers, by coffee drinkers. Our love of coffee began at a young age, with frequent trips to local coffee shops.
Allison has spent many years in some of the top coffee growing regions in the Americas, including Costa Rica, Mexico and Dominican Republic. Her time living and working in those countries deepened her appreciation for both the process of the growing coffee beans, but also the different ways to consume coffee. Her favorite coffee drink while she was living abroad was Dominican “greca” coffee, which is similar to what most people know as Cuban coffee.
After meeting Matt, the couple continued their travels to these regions of the world. Once they children and couldn’t travel as much, they turned their focus to the kind of coffee they could make at home.
They have owned several Gaggia machines, multiple cold brew makers, a mocha pot, Capizzi grinder and a Technovorm Moccamaster. They decided to start a coffee blog to combine Allison’s interest in digital marketing, and their mutual interest in coffee!
